Lenore Bullock

Lenore studied Ballet, Jazz and Character from age 7. She passed all her Royal Academy of Dance Examinations to Advanced Level. In 1978 she was awarded her provisional teaching certificate through Royal Academy of Dance (London), and in 1980 received her full teaching registration. She spent time on cruise ships (Sitmar lines) teaching and performing. And from 1978 to 1989 successfully sat over 1,000 children for RAD ballet exams. She is a registered teacher under the following disciplines : TDI, PBT and APDA.

Lenore’s past students have gone on to dance with the Australian Ballet School, the Australian Ballet Company, Les Ballet de Monte Carlo, Nederlands Dance Theatre, Queensland Ballet Company and more. Her students gained employment on Cruise lines, dancing in Korea, Japan, France and at Disneyland in Tokyo, Los Angeles, and Hong Kong. Many students competed very successfully at Eisteddfods throughout Australia, and are now teachers themselves around the world. Lenore has adjudicated throughout NZ and Australia. She has been teaching Dance to young people for over 40 years.

Shannon Shore

Shannon has been teaching for over 30 years. She has had her own dance school, which her daughter now operates, and has taught in NZ and Australia (most recently at the Candy Lane Dance Studio). Shannon trained in BBO Ballet, achieving her Advanced and SOLO SEAL diploma in all three forms (Ballet, Tap and Jazz). She is a well known adjudicator and has been an examiner throughout NZ in the Theatrical dance syllabus, the Jazz Addict Syllabus, as well as Beat it Tap. She has also facilitated workshops for the British Ballet Organisation. Her past students have gone onto many different dancing careers, both in NZ and internationally, and for 10 years in a row she won the Auckland Caledonian Society Teacher’s trophy for highest marks in the competition. Her own dance experience has seen her dance at the Billy T James awards, on TV with “Ray Wolf and you guys” and the Royal Variety performance for her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh. She also performed as Minnie Mouse with Disney on Parade!!!

Mel Bullock

Melanie trained in RAD ballet, ISTD jazz and tap, as well as contemporary, funk, lyrical and gymnastics. 

She gained excellence in NCEA at all levels for Dance, and was awarded 1st in Dance and the “Excellence in Dance" trophy in her final year at Westlake Girls

She was lucky enough to perform at Disneyland, as a Kids Crew member for Coca Cola Christmas in the park and in numerous local musical theatre productions. Although Mel enjoyed performing, she made a decision very early on that teaching was her passion.

She has adjudicated at competitions in NZ and has sat over 500 students for TDI examinations. 

Her choreography credits include: Studio 246 Disneyland Performance items, Auckland Coca Cola Christmas in the Park and Farmers Santa Parade. 

She is a registered teacher under the following disciplines : TDI, PBT and APDA; and also holds an honours degree in Speech and Language Therapy.

At Studio 246, she is in charge of the junior and intermediate troupes, and over 30 soloists. Her soloists have gained many top awards around NZ and Australia, and her troupes, continually bring home first places at competitions, including coveted overall awards;  such as overall highest scoring troupes, awards for technique and excellence and “Most entertaining” troupes. 

Maddie Brodie (nee Bullock)

Maddie began performing at the age of 5, growing up heavily involved in the performing arts; including the New Zealand Opera and the National Youth Theatre. 

She then moved to Christchurch to study a Bachelor of Performing Arts in Music Theatre, and 4 days after graduating embarked the Disney Fantasy cruise ship in Orlando, Florida as part of the Entertainment and Character team, hosting events and bringing the beloved Disney characters to life for children and their families.

After the pandemic brought her back home to New Zealand, she spent a year teaching dance and drama for Footsteps Dance Company. 

This year she is studying to complete a Post-Graduate Diploma in Secondary Teaching - specialising in Drama and Dance.

Chloe Jane

Chloe has been involved in the performing arts since the age of 5 and has been privileged to be on and around stages all over the world since then. 

She has trained in many styles including Musical Theatre, Jazz, Tap, Ballet, and Lyrical - and has worked with notable choreographers such as Mary-Jane O’Reily (Limbs Dance Company) and Nikki Snelson (Broadway’s ‘Legally Blonde’, ‘A Chorus Line’ and many others).

Chloe is educated in Opera and Classical Voice as well as Musical Theatre - and has performed in over 8 countries at Venues such as The Musikverein in Vienna, St Stephens Cathedral in Austria, Vörösmarty Tér in Budapest, Széchenyi Square in Pécs, Theatre Royal in London, The Civic Theatre in Auckland and many more. 

Some of her Musical Theatre credits include ‘Ursula’ in The Little Mermaid, ‘Narrator’ in Joseph, ‘Jafar’ in Aladdin, ‘Baby June’ in Gypsy, and ‘Mayzie La Bird’ in Suessical. 

Chloe is proud to be a part of the Studio 246 family, and is looking forward to passing on her knowledge and talents to her students in 2024! 

Tyler Johnston

Tyler began dancing at the age of 3 with ballet then musical theatre and jazz which sparked her will to try all dance styles. She went on to full time classical training at the New Zealand School of Dance in Wellington graduating in 2015. While in Wellington Tyler was selected to spend time with the Royal New Zealand Ballet Company until a recurring injury stopped her from being able to dance professionally. After a few years overseas dancing and teaching in Australia and Vienna, she came home to New Zealand and became a qualified dance teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance. Her passion for dance has led her to open up her own school where she hopes she can spread her knowledge and love of all things dance to her students.

Aly Snowsill 

Aly has been dancing since she was 3 years old in Wellington, and she is currently in her final year at Unitec completing a Bachelor of Screen and Performing Arts, majoring in Contemporary Dance. 

Aly has trained in all styles of dance including Jazz, Contemporary, Tap, Hiphop, Ballet and Lyrical and has successfully completed NZAMD solo diploma in Jazz, Contemporary and Hiphop. She has gained NZAMD national scholarship nominations in Jazz, Contemporary, and Hip Hop multiple times. Aly has competed as a soloist around the country and in troupes since she was 7 years old. 

In 2019 Aly competed as a soloist at PACANZ and has competed in troupes at PACANZ since 2016. 

Aly has had opportunities through her dance training with Extreme Dance to go and dance in the Disneyland Christmas Parade in LA during December of 2019, and while she was there attended many classes at Brea Space, The Playground, The Edge, Millennium, and then at The Broadway Dance Centre in NYC. 

Aly has successfully choreographed her own solos for competitions including DanceNZMade Interschools where she was the 2019 Year 12 Manawatu Regional and National Champion and the 2020 Year 13 National Champion.

In 2020 she performed with Society Entertainment in Wellington before moving to Auckland in 2021.
Aly was an elite junior competitive gymnast and has coached a range of ages in gymnastics for the last ten years since retiring. She holds qualifications as a foundation and elementary coach in gymnastics.

Louise Wilkie 

Louise began dancing at the age of 3, and her love for the performing arts has only grown since then. She has studied BAL Ballet and Tap, and NZAMD Tap and Jazz, with experience in latin and ballroom, and circus as well. In 2017, Louise completed a year-long internship with Disney World in Orlando, Florida, where she learnt all about how the magic is created. Louise is an experienced choreographer and has been involved with the Auckland musical theatre community for a number of years. She has choreographed a number of productions such as Beauty and the Beast (St Peters College), Annie (NSPA) and Shrek (NSPA). Louise’s stage credits include “Belle” in Beauty and the Beast (CYT, 2013), “Nancy” in Oliver! (P&P Productions 2014) “Estella” in West Side Story (CTC, 2014), “Catherine” in Pippin (St Peter’s College, 2015) and “Vanessa” in the New Zealand amateur premiere of Strictly Ballroom the Musical (CTC, 2020). In 2021, Louise co-directed the Centrestage Theatre Company production of Urinetown, and looks forward to sharing her love of the performing arts and learning new things with the team at Studio 246. When Louise is not at the theatre or studio, she studies Paramedicine at AUT and volunteers with St John Ambulance.

Kelly Channing

Kelly has been dancing for over 20 years, starting off with recreational classes through to completing major examinations in jazz, tap, ballet and contemporary. Through dance she found a love for musical theatre which led her to perform in many professional productions such as Mamma Mia (Civic Theatre) and Sister Act (ASB Waterfront Theatre) to name a few. Kelly has also performed professionally throughout NZ at various gigs. In 2018, Kelly completed her Diploma of Commercial Dance and also holds several dance teaching qualifications.
Recently, Kelly got married and has completed her Bachelor of Education specialising in primary school teaching and is teaching at Belmont Intermediate. Kelly is looking forward to coming back to Studio 246 (after leaving at the end of 2021 after being there for almost 10 years!) and cannot wait to work with all of our talented dancers again.

Maddy Golightly

Maddy Grew up on the North Shore of Auckland, attending Carmel College from 2009-2014. She studied for her Bachelor of Dance Studies at Auckland University. 

From 2015 until now she has been a member of the Royal Family: A world renowned Hip hop troupe based in NZ, and led by Parris Goebel: choreographer to many stars. Whilst with the Royal Family, Maddy has had the opportunity to compete on the world stage, travel, and even perform in 2 Justin Bieber Videos. From 2017 she had been involved with Sister Untied where she has worked alongside Kendal Goebel bringing dance into Auckland Secondary Schools. In 2019 she taught at Footsteps Dance Company. Just before Covid she toured with the Parris Project World Tour, where she visited and performed to 16 countries. 

She is very excited to be passing on her incredible talents to the Students at Studio 246.

Haley Doig

Haley has been a student at Studio 246 since 2010. She has completed NZAMD, RAD, ISTD and TDI exams in Jazz, Ballet, Contemporary and Tap. She has also been awarded two NZAMD scholarship nominations for Level 5 and 6 Contemporary.

Haley started competing at the age of 8 as a soloist and troupe dancer. During this time she performed in DisneyLand LA, the Farmers Santa Parade, various music videos and tv appearances as well as Coca Cola Christmas in the Park from 2016-2019. In 2015, Haley travelled to Australia to compete at Showcase nationals. She has also been competing at Pacanz nationals since 2017.

Haley has been an intern at Studio 246 for 4 years, assisting in Jazz, Ballet and toddler toes classes. 

She graduated Westlake Girls’ High School in 2022 and was awarded the Dance performance cup. Haley is currently studying a Bachelor of Communications at AUT.

She is super excited to start teaching and meeting all her new students in 2024!!

Olivia Rosén

Olivia's love for gymnastics and dance began at an early age and has continued to grow over the years. She has been a competitive gymnast for 15 years, flipping and tumbling since the age of two. 

Over the years, Olivia has trained, competed, and coached gymnastics in various countries. In 2017, she qualified at the USA Gymnastics Women’s State Championships. A few years later, she trained and competed in her home country Sweden, before moving to New Zealand in 2020. Currently, she is a senior squad gymnast at NHG gymnastics and a coach for recreational gymnastics classes.

Alongside her gymnastics training, Olivia has done various styles of dance, with a focus on acro and contemporary. Her love for dance and acro has always been evident, as she has been choreographing her own gymnastics and dance routines since she was young.

Olivia studied NCEA Dance and is now completing the International Baccalaureate curriculum at Takapuna Grammar School. 

Olivia is very excited to be joining Studio 246 as an acro teacher and is looking forward to working with all the amazing dancers!

Hayley Austin

Hayley began dancing at age three, beginning with ballet and jazz, then discovering her passion for tap. She has competed as a soloist in tap competitions around NZ for several years and in 2022, was a tap semi-finalist at PACANZ, and placed second at the Auckland Caledonians Competition with her own choreography, putting her among the top tap dancers in the country. 

Hayley has attended the Australian Tap Dance Festival four times, learning from the best in Australia and international headliners and performing in festival showcases. She has completed the TDI Tap (Solo Seal) and Jazz syllabi, has completed Level 8 NZAMD tap and was awarded two scholarship nominations. 

Hayley has competed with 246 crews in tap, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, lyrical and musical theatre and has performed at Christmas in the Park, in the Farmers Santa Parade and in music videos with her troupes.

She has been a studio intern for several years, assisting in classes and with tap troupe, and also teaches private lessons. Hayley graduated from Westlake Girls High School in 2022 and is looking forward to sharing her love of tap with her students.

Belinda Moore

Belinda Moore is performer, dance teacher, adjudicator, personal trainer and body conditioning specialist with over 25 years experience in dance. She has worked throughout NZ, Australia and the United States for some of the biggest companies in global entertainment including NBC Universal, Comcast and Disney. Belinda performed in events alongside Kesha, Lorde, Jamie Foxx, Jake Gyllenhaal, Halle Berry, Miss Americas 2016, 2017, 2018 & 2019, Ty Herndon, Linda Eder and some of the biggest names in Dancesport and Ballroom Dance. She danced in the Emmy Award-winning Nashville Christmas Parade, Universal Studio’s Macys Christmas Parade, the Pro Bowl, New Zealand Fashion Week, operas Carmen and La Traviata and tours with The Glenn Miller Orchestra and The Tommy Dorsey Orchestra.

Belinda was a cheerleader for the All Blacks, Blues, Breakers, Warriors and the Black Caps, worked as a featured dancer in television series’ Legend Of The Seeker, When We Went To War, Maddigans Quest, Xena, This Is Not My Life and in the feature film The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. Belinda worked as a stills and live model, acted in ad campaigns for Instant Kiwi and McDonalds and appeared in music videos for Elemno P and Dei Hamo.

Prior to dancing, Belinda competed in rhythmic gymnastics for 11 years, representing New Zealand throughout Europe, Australia, Asia and North America including the 1994 Commonwealth Games and the 1995 World Championships and was twice New Zealand National Champion.

In 2020, Belinda created BodyLab – a strength and mobility programme which helps dancers improve their movement capabilities, increase their body awareness and assist in mitigating injury risks. The online programme is used by dancers around the world.

Alongside teaching and adjudicating dance, Belinda teaches yoga and Pilates, works with clients as a personal trainer, teaches movement masterclasses and workshops around the world and also squeezes in freelance performance work to keep the performance juices flowing.

Courtney Constance

Courtney has completed RAD Advanced Ballet, AJDA Advanced Two and Solo Seal for which she received top marks in her exam and 100% in Solo Seal. She has also completed Lucidity Contemporary and gained 100% as well as top 5% in the Southern Hemisphere.

Courtney grew up in Taupo and danced at Dale Boddy Academy of Dance now known as Dance Central. Courtney gained the New Zealand scholarship in 2018 to attend Ettingshausens pro in Sydney, Australia. She then went on to graduate and gain her Cert IV in dance (2019). She has also studied under Kayla Paige here in Auckland. 

From solos to group dances Courtney has competed in many competitions. She has performed in Coca Cola Christmas in the park 2017 and 2018. She has also completed an LA dance tour through She Shines On dance tours. She has gained 5 return scholarship, in consecutive years for Phoenix Dance Convention. She has competed at Project and Battlegrounds as a part of a hip hop crew.

During her final year in high school she received the Rotary scholarship for her excellence in performing arts.

Courtney has featured on Dancing With The Stars and The Voice Australia as an extra. 

Choreography credits:  Courtney has been choreographing since the age of 15, quickly winning comps with her ability to tell a story and captivate an audience. In 2018 she choreographed the national Dance NZ Made overall winning dance. Her other dance also placed second. She also choreographed 2 duo dances that placed 1st at nationals. She has choreographed solos and group dances for Dance Central. This year (2024) both her team dances have already gained a nomination for NZDA nationals in Christchurch. She has received examiners choice awards and most outstanding awards with her choreography. 

Courtney has a special passion for teaching and choreographing, she loves to watch her students progress and grow as dancers. She pushes her students to become the best they can be.
